A self-initiated project exploring Christmas through a cyberpunk lens, blending familiar festive traditions with the atmosphere of a cold, neon-soaked future. Rather than following the conventions of a traditional greeting card, the illustration takes a more expansive, poster-like approach, building a world that rewards closer inspection.
Originally created as a seasonal greeting for clients and friends, the design was also produced as a printed A6 card and made available through local cafés and online.
The illustration is layered with small visual references that extend beyond the immediate Christmas theme. A neon rabbit offers a nod to Chinese New Year, while festive signage sits naturally within the surrounding urban environment. These details give the scene a life beyond its central subject, bringing together different cultural cues within a single imagined world.
